Assam: Girl Sold by Parents, Rescued From Maharashtra
- Parents sell the girl sold to one of their relatives for money nearly one year ago.
- The Accused woman is running the sex racket for a long time.
Guwahati: Minors related crimes are coming to the light rapidly. In the recent incident, a minor from Assam has been rescued from Maharashtra’s red light area and brought back to the state.
The Parents sell the Girl
According to the report, the victim has been rescued by Maharashtra police in an operation taken out by them in Rajwara area, While the girl was sold away by her parents to one of their relatives for money nearly one year ago.
The police have also nabbed the accused woman and identified as Puja Swami alias Renu Begum who had engaged the girl in this business.
Some sources also informed that the accused is running the sex racket for a long time and had been living a luxurious life.
Victim’s Parents are still absconding from police.
While the girl is under the care of Maharashtra police.

Human Trafficking: Three Rescued from Myanmar
In yet another rescue mission against human trafficking racket conducted by the Manipur police, three minor girls were rescued from Myanmar.
According to the Police sources, the girls were rescued from Rangoon by Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Churachandpur district police with the assistance of its counterpart Tengnoupal district police and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Churachandpur.
