- CM Manik Sarkar targets the BJP-IPFT alliance ahead of elections
- Both the parties are conspiring to wipe-off Tripura from History, says CM
- The alliance between BJP and IPFT is unholy, Sarkar says
The incumbent Chief Minister of Tripura and the ace leader of Communist Party, Manik Sarkar on Tuesday lashed out at the alliance formed between the BJP and IPFT. Sarkar accused both parties of conspiring to wipe out Tripura from the history.
BJP is creating disturbance throughout the nation-Sarkar
The ace leader of Communist Party of Tripura held an election rally in the state on Tuesday. During this rally, CM lashed out at Bhartiya Janata Party and Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura(IPFT).
As both the parties formed an alliance ahead of assembly elections in the state, incumbent Chief Minister targetted the same and called it ‘Unholy’.
He also stated that both the parties are conspiring to wipe off Tripura from the history as the nexus between the two is not good for the state.
Adding to this, Sarkar also stated, “The alliance between BJP and IPFT is unholy. BJP is supporting IPFT which demands the separation of Tripura. It is a conspiracy to wipe off Tripura from history.”
“Four years back, the BJP came to power with promises of ‘Acche Din’ among others but kept none,” he added.
During the rally, he also countered BJP at the centre and said that the party is creating disturbance throughout the nation.
Apart from this, quoting the party on the grounds of corruption, CM Sarkar said, “The BJP had taken money from the corporate for 2014 election so they are working for them, stopping social and profit-making public sector so that the corporation can make a profit. This will repeat in 2019.”
This is not the first time when Sarkar has lashed out at BJP and IPFT, before this, during an election rally at the Pallimangal school ground in Khayerpur in the state, CM countered BJP, VHP and RSS.
In the rally, Sarkar urged the people to ignore the new alliance formed in the state between Bhartiya Janata Party and tribal party Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura(IPFT).
During this rally, Sarkar also urged the ‘peace-loving people’ of Tripura to defeat all ‘communal and divisive forces’.
Targeting the alliance between BJP and IPFT, Sarkar stated, “a huge and diabolic conspiracy is going on across the State to destabilize the peace and mutual brotherhood of tribals and non-tribals, clearly indicating the pre-poll alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT).”
“Riding on the slogan of ‘Cholo Paltai’ (lets change), the communal forces BJP and RSS with the help of divisive forces like IPFT are hatching the conspiracy to oust the Left Front government, but peace-loving people of Tripura will defeat all conspiracy and maintain the tradition of mutual brotherhood,” Sarkar added.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister of Tripura highlighted the development done by the CPIM in 25 years and said, “despite financial constraints, the state government has strengthened the Public Distribution System (PDS).
“Tripura is now among top five states of the country in providing better health services and achieved best parameters in health indexes”, added Sarkar.
The state is going to vote on February 18 and the results will be declared on March 3. Before this, the political parties will try to tarnish the image of their rivals as to win the confidence of the voters in the state.
