Ex BJP MLA Alleges Himanta, Ranjit Das of Conspiring to Dethrone Sonowal

Three members of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) joined Indian National Congress (INC) in Barpeta on Tuesday. The official statement released by the Barpeta District Congress Committee confirmed the joining of three new members at the Rajiv Bhawan in Barpeta.

Manoranjan Das (ex-Patacharkuchi MLA), Jyotshna Mahanta (President Khairabari GP), Kanchan Mahanta (General Secretary, Gobardhana block) are the new members of the Congress party.

EX-BJP MLA MANORANJAN DAS PUT THE ALLEGATIONS

One of the newly joined members of INC, the Ex-BJP MLA while joining the party said that the conspiracy is going on to dethrone the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal from the position. The minister alleged that Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Ranjit Das along with other party members of Assam BJP are conspiring against the Assam CM. He also said that Patacharkuchi seat was given to BJP without the consent.

“Himanta Biswa Sarma and Ranjit Das are involved in conspiring to dethrone Assam Chief Minister from the position. Other ministers of BJP are also involved in the conspiracy”, the minister said.

Other than the three BJP members, two members from Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and one member from CPI(M) have also joined INC in Barpeta. Rina Devi and Raju Kumar Sarma from Asom Gana Parishad, Raben Das from CPI(M) joined the Indian National Congress (INC) on Tuesday.
