Famous Indian Cricketer Jasprit Jasbir Singh Bumrah’s grandfather Santokh Singh Bumrah was found dead. The 84-year-old grandfather of Indian pacer was found dead on Sunday. The senior citizen’s body was found from Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad, the report said.
As per reports, Santokh had come to Ahmedabad to meet his grandson and was reported missing since Friday afternoon. His family members had filed a missing report with the Vastrapur police.
According to a police source, Santokh’s daughter, Rajinder Kaur, has alleged that Jasprit’s mother, Daljit Kaur, had a conversation with Santok but refused to let him meet or speak to his grandson.
Rajinder even alleges that she didn’t even give the 84-year-old Bumrah’s phone number. This is why dejected Santokh left for Ahmedabad with the hope of meeting his cricketer grandson, he added.
Some sources also stated that Santokh Singh Bumrah, who hailed from Uttarakhand, was an auto driver by profession. But that was not the case a few years ago. He was a successful businessman till his son, Jasprit’s father, was alive.

After a couple of moderately successful seasons with the Mumbai Indians at the Indian Premier League, and with his domestic team Gujarat, he was named in India’s squad for its 2015–16 series against Australia, as a replacement to an injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
