Jet Airways in Trouble, Accused of Frequently Cancelling Flights and Neglecting N-E Passengers

Aizawl: Some Mizoram passengers complaint against Jet Airways over “frequent cancellations” of its flight from Delhi to Aizawl. Expressing his grievances, one passenger said that Jet Airways “suddenly cancelled” it’s flight service from Delhi to Aizawl on Sunday due to supposed bad weather creating problems for passengers who were returning home for Christmas, reports said.
According to a passenger, about 321 passengers on Delhi to Aizawl, Guwahati to Aizawl and Aizawl to Delhi sectors were stranded due to the cancellation of the flight on last Sunday by Jet Airways.
He also alleged that Jet Airways which was supposed to arrange additional flight failed to do so and asked passengers to travel by road to reach their destination. The passenger said that while Jet Airways officials tried to blame the weather, a flight operated by Air India successfully landed on the same day at Lengpui Airport in Aizawl.
While another passenger said that while the authority of Jet Airways was supposed to arrange additional flight, they refused to do so and forced passengers to return their air tickets for a refund. The authorities did not provide accommodation to a stranded passenger.
Another passenger alleged that Jet Airways did not only fail to fulfil its duty but also neglected the people of North-East.
