As Meghalaya is left with a few days for the elections on 60 assembly seats, BJP’s ace leader, Amit Shah is scheduled for a visit to the state on Friday. As per the reports, Shah will remain in the state before the elections.
Shah to hold two rallies
Bhartiya Janata Party, with an aim of winning the assembly elections 2018 in a majority, putting its best foot forward and now the party’s President will visit the state on Friday.
During his visit to the state, Amit Shah will hold two election rallies in the two regions of Meghalaya.
As per the schedule of Amit Shah ahead for Meghalaya elections, he will address two rallies on Friday starting his campaign from Jowai where he will hold one rally at 12 noon and this will be followed by another rally at Malki ground here at 3 pm.
As per the information, during this election campaign of BJP, a local music icon Lou Majaw will perform before Amit Shah addresses the rally.
As per some sources from the party, BJP has roped Lou Majaw for campaigning in the state.
Apart from this, sources from the party also informed that BJP President Amit Shah will remain in Meghalaya for a week to review the poll preparedness as well.
The BJP is contesting in 47 of the 60 seats in the February 27 Assembly elections in Meghalaya.
As the five-year term of Meghalaya Assembly is going to end on March 6, the state is going for the assembly elections on February 27.
As per the notification of the Election Commission, the result will be declared on March 3 that will decide the fate of these political parties.
