Nagaland: CM Asks People to Change Mindset to Strengthen Economy

The Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang was speaking to the people on Tuesday. The Cm urged the state to change their mindset in a way such that it boosts the economy of the state.
T. R. Zeliang was Speaking as the chief guest during the celebration of the establishment of New Jalukie Village, Peren at the Golden Jubilee celebration.
T.R. Zeliang said “if our economy improves, our lifestyle will change too. Change of mind-set for economy development comes from within and not without.”
To inspire the people, the CM took the example of the White Revolution of Rajasthan and the meat production of Korean people, that managed to transform the lifestyle of its people.
To enhance the economy of the state with the help of the government-funded projects such as NERLP, World Bank etc, CM Zeliang asked the villagers to set a specific target. He also stressed on the need to retrospect last fifty years and advised the villagers to take corrective measures to build better future.
He said “Our youth’s potentials should be utilized within our state and should not hire experts from outside the state for construction purposes etc. knowing this wastage, the government has introduced ‘Year of Construction Workers’, all over the state to train our youth”.
The CM also informed the people that the meat import of the state had risen to 40% over the years and called the state for self-sufficiency in meat production.
Minister of Highways G. Kaito Aye was also present in the event. The minister in his speech congratulated the villagers for completing 50 years.
