The Chief Minister of Nagaland TR Zeliang recently flagged-off an Assam Rifles’ tri-nation motorcycle expedition in the state. On the occasion, he talks about the unity and peace of the state.

Youth should opt positive pursuits of life 

TR Zeliang, the Chief Minister of Nagaland recently flagged-off a motorcycle expedition of the army in the state.

On this event, he shared his thoughts for the state and talks about the need of ensuring peace in the state.

Zeliang has sought the cooperation of all in working together towards ensuring permanent peace in Nagaland.

He said this while addressing a gathering on the occasion of flagging off an expedition at Kenguruse Hall, IGAR (N) Headquarters here on Tuesday.

CM Expresses his joy at the enthusiastic participation of Assam Rifles (AR) personnel in the motorcycle expedition to Bangladesh and Myanmar.

During this, he also urged the country’s oldest paramilitary force to continue its efforts through various activities to attract the youth of the region towards positive pursuits in life.

He also congratulated the Central force for carrying out charity works in the State, including organizing free medical camps, helping poor villagers and conducting other civic action programmes, and termed these as “remarkable”.

Zeliang commended the expedition’s team leader Col Pratyush Kumar Singh and the AR for enhancing the security of the NE region.

Recalling the contribution of “Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel towards nation building, Zeliang said the first Home Minister of free India through his untiring efforts had paved the way for unifying the princely states into one nation.

During this, he also met the Assam Rifle Force and shared the pictures on the social media platform Twitter quoting, “Meeting the Jawans who are on “Assam Rifles Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Tri Nation Unity and Heritage Motorcycle Expedition”. So far they covered a distance of 1800kms approx. Wishing them Good luck for onward journey.”
