- Bal Krishna Acharya of Patanjali Ayurved Limited (PAVL) has assured that the company would set up a 100-bedded hospital in Dimapur for the differently-abled person and also expressed their interest in setting up a university in Nagaland
The Chief Minister of Nagaland, T.R. Zeliang has narked his thoughts on education and its quality in Nagaland. He said that education was a crucial need in Nagaland and the state government would be willing to welcome any organization, whether the organization is religious or non-religious, to set up institutions and universities such that the standard of education could be raised to the highest level.
The CM was at a programme to felicitate Deviangs (a branch for the differently- abled under Patanjali Ayurved Limited- PAVL) which was held at the residence premises of N.Thomas Lotha (Advisor Higher & Technical Education), Khermahal, on Thursday evening.
CM Zeliang acknowledged Baba Ramdev’s aide Bal Krishna Acharya who was present and welcomed his assurance to establish a 100- bedded hospital for the differently abled people in Nagaland. Zeliang assured to provide all possible support from the state government.
ZM Zeliang said, “Let us open ways for the company to set up a university in the state. Not only the state government but NGOs and every section of the society should cooperate not only towards this project but also towards any company who wants to invest in the state”.
Meanwhile, Bal Krishna Acharya of Patanjali Ayurved Limited (PAVL) has assured that the company would set up a 100-bedded hospital in Dimapur for the differently-abled person and also expressed their interest in setting up a university in Nagaland in partnership with the state government and Central government. For the purpose, three sites were inspected of which, one would be chosen for the 100- bedded hospital.
BAL KRISHNA ACHARYA SANCTIONED 100 Cr FOR THE PROJECT
By acknowledging the chief minister’s full support to the Deviangs, Bal Krishna Acharya, without waiting, immediately sanctioned Rs. 100 crore towards the project which was announced by N Thomas Lotha, the advisor for Higher and Technical Education. It must be mentioned that Thomas is also a member of General Council for People with Multiple Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
To felicitate Deviangs, a branch of Patanjali Ayurved Limited headed by Baba Ram Dev and his aide Bal Krishna Acharya, the programme was organised. During the programme, former Uttarakhand chief secretary, R.K. Sharma delivered a short speech. In the speech, he spoke about the importance of setting up colleges and universities in Nagaland. Nagaland State Disabled Forum (NSDF) general secretary Ashe Kiba delivered speech on the behalf of the Deviangs (other termed for differently-abled persons) community.
Differently-abled persons from Zunheboto, Mon, Mokochung, Kohima and Dimapur districts were present at the programme. The Home Minister, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu also accompanied the CM TR Zeliang.
