Kohima: Two students from the state will be going to represent Nagaland in the semi-finals and finals of the first-ever National Elections Quiz organized by the Election Commission of India, scheduled for January 14 to 15 in New Delhi, an official release said.
Both the students have been known as Merio N. Ngullie, Class-12 and Kekhriese Yhoshu, Class-11 both from Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Kohima would represent the state to show their talent.
Reports indicate that intra school quiz competition was held across the state in November 2017. Winners of the intraschool contest competed in the district round during the first week of December 2017 and the winners of the district round then competed in the State round on December 15, 2017.
However, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Nagaland has appointed assistant professor, Bachu Yhoshu from Sao Chang Government College, Tuensang as the liaison officer of the competitors.
The semi-finals and finals of the quiz contest will be held in the Rajya Sabha TV Studio and its coverage will be telecast across the country later, the release informed.
