The nation today is celebrating the 128th Birth Anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day is dedicated to the children of the nation as Chacha Nehru’s Love for them is known to all. On this occasion, the Northeast India also pay tribute.

 Love from Assam

On the 128th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, along with the entire nation, the Northeastern part of the country also pay tribute.

The leaders of Assam used the social media platform Twitter to share their feeling for the pioneer of Independent India.

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee(APCC) wrote, “RememberingNehru the architect of Modern India and scientific outlook.”

The former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi also shared his feelings for Chacha Nehru and said, “Homage to 1st PM of India Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.A statesman & visionary leader wd scientific temper & rational thinking.”

On this day, the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbanand Sonowal also pays a tribute of words saying, “Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, first Prime Minister of India, on his birth anniversary.”

The Cabinet Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma also took the opportunity of paying tribute to the first Prime Minister of the nation. He wrote on the twitter, “My humble tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 128th birth anniversary.

The Congress candidate and Managing Trustee of the Anjan Dutta Foundation, Angkita Dutta also pays tribute to Pt Nehru and said, “My tributes to the first prime minister of India and architect of Modern India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.”

Tribute from other states of NE

Apart from Assam, the leaders from other states also paid tribute to the Chacha Nehru of the Children.

The Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang pays tribute to Jawahar Lal Nehru on his 128th Birth Anniversary by saying, “Wishing all the children around the world a Happy #ChildrensDay May the gentleness and innocence that fills the hearts and minds of a child reverberate throughout and inspire all.”

The Chief Minister of Arunachal, Pema Khandu also wished the nation’s first Prime Minister on the occasion of his 128th birth anniversary and wrote, “Action to be effective must be directed to clearly conceived ends. Remembering Shri Jawaharlal Nehru ji today on his birth anniversary. ” 

Finally comes the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma who not even pays tribute to Chacha Nehru, but also celebrated Children’s Day with the kids of the state.

Sangma pays Tribute of words and wrote, “Pay tributes to the architect of modern India, a dynamic statesman & the first PM of free India, Late Sh. Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. We honor his legacy by collectively committing to nurture & build a great nation as envisaged by Pandit Nehru Ji.”
