- I have come for you. I have come to serve you and for the sake of Arunachal Pradesh
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch DD Arun Prabha
Itanagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached in Arunachal Pradesh today. PM will participate in three programmes, an inauguration of the Dorjee Khandu state convention centre in Itanagar, the state civil secretariat building and lay the foundation stone of the academic block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science, an official statement said.
Speaking in Itanagar, PM Modi said, I have come for you. I have come to serve you and for the sake of Arunachal Pradesh. We had the North East Development Council meeting in the North East. I have made sure that every Union Minister is in the North East for at least for some time in a week. We have brought transparency and accountability in the workings of DoNER.
Talking about medical education, he said, We are making sure that there is at least one hospital and a medical college in at least every two to three constituency. A student can study medicine in their own state which will help bring the local touch in the field. We want to bring medical facilities in the interiors of India.
Modi lauded Khandu in Itanagar and said that since Pema Khandu is not a CM of a state near Delhi, he is not given much TV space. But it is Khandu who is making a blueprint for developing Arunachal Pradesh by 2027.
Meanwhile, on New train service for Arunachal Pradesh, PM said that his fourth big decision is that there will be a new Express train between New Delhi and Naharlagun. This will run twice a week and it will be called Arunachal Express.
We began using Aadhaar card for DBT. We had widows whom we used to send money. There were a lot of loopholes. With Direct Benefit Transfer, we have stopped all this. This money used to go into the pockets of somebody. This is good governance for me, the PM added.
PM Modi ended his speech with chants of Jai Hind.
Prime Minister Narendra will also launch DD Arun Prabha, a new 24×7 satellite television channel of Doordarshan for the north-eastern region during his day-long visit to the state today.
