With just 6 days left for the state polls, Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has been campaigning with full swing in Tripura. On Monday Bollywood actor-turned-politician Hema Malini also attacked the Left government in Tripura, says “poor would only become poorer” under the Left Front government in Tripura.

She was addressing in a public rally at Dhanpur assembly constituency. While addressing the roadshow Malini has appealed the people of Tripura to vote for a change in a state. Apart from this, the actor said that the.

“The benefits of the pro-poor policies of the central government were only enjoyed by the cadres of the ruling CPI(M). The people of Tripura remained neglected,” she said at the rally.

She urged people to vote for Pratima Bhowmik, the BJP candidate from the seat, in the upcoming elections.

“While coming here (Dhanpur), I came across big residential buildings and thought that people are well off in this part of the state. Upon inquiry, I found out most of these buildings were owned by CPI(M) leaders,” she said.

However, Yesterday the Chief Minister of Tripura and ace leader of Communist party, Manik Sarkar urged the people to ignore the new alliance formed in the state between Bhartiya Janata Party and tribal party Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura(IPFT).

During this rally, Sarkar also urged the ‘peace-loving people’ of Tripura to defeat all ‘communal and divisive forces’.

Hema Malini Uses Umbrella During Roadshow

Hema Malini’s roadshow on Vijay rath has come under controversy after Tripura sun seemed her “Too Much” headed led her to use umbrellas.
