Itanagar: People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) has come to the front as PPA has demanded the resignation of Arunachal’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his alleged ‘dog’ remarks.

PPA’s president, Kahfa Bengia terming the CM as immature and characterless demanded that he should resign from his post for making such a statement.

Bengia also said that if Pema Khandu resigns he will be in jail soon claiming that there are multiple cases pending against him including a rape case in Yupia as well. Bengia said that there are no possibilities that Khandu will be forgiven for making such a remark.

The after such a comment has come from a Chief Minister, the legislators should withdraw support for him, he added.

Kaling Jerang, general secretary, PPA further termed that Pema Khandu has failed miserably as a Chief Minister.

Pema Khandu is the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Since becoming chief minister in July 2016, he and his government have twice changed their party affiliation; in September from the Indian National Congress to the Peoples Party of Arunachal and then in December 2016 to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Previously he had served as Minister of Tourism, Urban Development and Water Resources in the state government of Congress leader Nabam Tuki.
