Tripura Govt. introduces CCL scheme facilitating Female Employees
- The Tripura Government has introduced Child Care Leave (CCL)
- This includes the care period of 730 days that can be taken in their entire service life
- The CCL also includes the paid leave for children’s sickness or examinations
The Tripura Government has recently come up with a scheme that will help the working females of the state to take a good care of their growing children. For this, the government has introduced a Child Care Scheme(CCL).
730 days paid leave
The Tripura Government has introduced Child Care Leave (CCL) for women employees with minor children for 730 days in their entire service life, a minister said on Wednesday.
Such employees enjoying the CCL for children’s sickness or examinations would be paid leave salary equal to the pay drawn immediately before proceeding on the CCL.
“The Child Care Leave will be granted to women employees of the state government, who have children below 18 years for a maximum period of 730 days in the entire service life,” State Information and Culture Minister Bhanu Lal Saha said while an interaction with the state media.
This decision was taken in the council of ministers held here yesterday.
The Supreme Court passed an order in 2014 that a woman employee of the central government could get uninterrupted leave for two years for child care, which would include needs like examination and sickness.
After this, the Tripura Government hold many meeting with the officials to discuss the matter and after a series of meetings, they have finally reached a point that will facilitate the females serving the state. They will enjoy a time period of 730 days to take a good care of their children who are in their growing age and seeks parents especially the attention of mother’s.
