After losing the first match by an embarrassing 7 wickets, Rohit and Co came out all guns blazing in the match at Mohali. While Shikhar Dhawan gave a fiery start to the innings, he faltered before scoring a 100.

Rohit Sharma took the onus on him batting with young Shreyas Iyer to take India to a big total of 392/4 while becoming only the first batsman to score three double centuries in ODIs scoring 208*.

This is his second double century against Sri Lanka.

Rohit scored his first ODI double ton against Australia back in November 2, 2013 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when he hammered 209.

He notched up yet another double ton a year later on November 13, 2014 against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata where he notched up 264, which is the highest score by a batsman in an ODI innings.

Post his emotional celebration to celebrate the achievement, big names from Cricket fraternity took to Twitter to congratulate the Hit-man on his superb innings.
